The food was consistantly cooked to a very high standard and offered a good choice.
One or two members of staff let their colleagues down by being more pre-occupied by their paperwork rather than customers. On the whole staff were polite and helpful.

Arrived mid afternoon after a long drive - Staff obviously very busy with a Wedding reception that was iminent - but we were made most welcome even down to producing 2 delicious sandwiches and a glass of wine.. Breakfast next day a little chaotic and understaffed but youngsters coped well. Would I go back? - yes

The setting of the hotel offers beautiful grounds and a charming atmosphere, complemented by a lovely bar area and delicious baked chocolate cakes. Our experience was marred by a lack of cleanliness, with a significant issue in our room involving unsanitary bedding that remained unaddressed by staff, and a broken sofa in the lounge area. While the staff were generally friendly and helpful, the overall state of our room and the breakfast left much to be desired.

Small hotel with accommodating staff and absolutely stunning views of the garden. Quiet location in a mini castle, easy to get around. Also - near to the gardens, beautiful surroundings, buses. An excellent stay in the night and early morning.

We had a very spacious room with a balcony overlooking extensive gardens. The room price ,at £69 for the night was very reasonable for the area. Breakfast was extensive and served by very friendly staff. An excellent experience.
I marked the comfort box as only fair because the room had a 4' 6" bed which really isn't big enough for comfort.
